AMWPA Annual Meeting 2019 held at Dr. Faryal Ghaffar’s residence.
It was well attended and productive event. Meeting was moderated by Dr. Mariam Saleem, AMWPA Board Member.
Agenda of the Meeting included:
1. Recitation of the Holy Quran by Dr. Imrana Khalid, AMWPA Board Member.
2. Dr. Seema, President AMWPA Executive Committee welcomed everyone and presented a PowerPoint presentation on AMWPA Goals and Vision.
3. Dr. Rehana Kausar, President Board of Directors gave presentation on AMWPA Future programs for 2020.
4. AMWPA Merit Awards were announced by Dr. Tasneem Ahmed, Chairperson AMWPA Award Committee and Dr. Nilofar Syed, Co-chair Award committee. Only 7 students were present to collect their awards. All other awards will be given later to the students in metroplex area and mailed to who are out of town
8 Medical Awards $1000 each were given to:
Rana Akkad, Medical Student at UNTHSC -TCOM was present to collect her award.
Sana Qureshi, Medical Student at UNTHSC -TCOM was present to collect her award.
Laila Abbas, Medical Student at UTSW Medical School was present to collect her award.

1 Mohammad Khalid’s Memorial Award $750 was given to:

1 Kheshgi Sadiq Educational Award for $1000 was given to:
Fidak Khan, 1st year Med Student Loyola University, Chicago
5. Dr. Faryal Ghaffar, Chairperson AMWPA Membership Committee emphasized on membership renewals for 2020.
