(Awards will go to students who are in a Texas Medical School and only one award is reserved for an out of state Medical Student.)

  • Female Muslim
  • Parents are not physicians (exception will be made if parents never practiced as physicians)
  • Current Enrollment at an Accredited Medical or Dental school in USA

  • Once a medical student receives a merit award, she is not eligible to reapply.

(Note: Recipients of merit awards will be given free membership to AMWPA for 1 year after graduation and then will be required to continue being active member of AMWPA by paying dues annually to be part of the organization.
